Trileptal (Oxcarbazepine) is used for treatment of bipolar disorder, as mania can result in micro seizures and is manufactured by Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Trileptal is typically taken two times a day and is important in some manic depressives who have problems bordering on epilepsy. It is theorized that bipolar itself may be a mild form of epilepsy or at the very least that bipolar and epilepsy are genetically linked.
Remember! All drugs have side effects and a treatment option that works for one person may not work for another. Always consult with a medical professional before starting a new treatment regimen and accurately study all risk factors personally.
